The new Winter Issue of PRIMS, I have 2 articles!!!

I hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas and a Happy New Year to you all!!!

I must admit, I am totally trilled with this issue of PRIMS! I dearly love this magazine. The photography and selection of art is top notch. The staff is also very friendly and easy to work with.

I have 2 very different articles in this issue. The first features some new pieces of art. I stepped away from teddy bears for a while, to work on paper clay pieces. I am so hooked on paper clay now! I was so excited with how these pieces turned out, they are so fun and whimsical. To have them featured in PRIMS is just that much more exciting. Not only do I love creating pieces of art, I have also developed a love of writing about art. Oh, and the "Whimsical Circus Characters" mentioned on the cover...that's my article! ((((big smile))))

My 2nd article in this issue is a continuation of the TDIPT(TO Dwell in Primitive Thymes) article that I wrote for the Fall 2011 issue. I had so much fun putting these 2 articles together, and the creative process involved in the writing of each. Each artist from TDIPT that participated sent in stellar work to the magazine, as you can see from the photos. I am extremely proud to have had the opportunity to showcase this talented group of women. If you have never visited our site, TDIPTmercantile.com, you must stop by. You can also follow the link located in the left hand side-bar.

I also re-posted the article that was included in the Fall 2011 issue, so everything could be viewed as a whole.

As always, thanks for stopping by! Karen :)

a new Giraffe and Halloween bear!!!

Tonight is the TDIPT mercantile update. I've introduced a brand new fun Giraffe pattern tonight and a bewitching Halloween bear...plus a little Halloween witch that can't seem to find a new home :( I haven't had much time the past few weeks for creating, but I decided to get busy this past week. I love these new pieces. Please stop the mercantile, and take a peek at all of the wonderful updates for September 1st.

Have a question? just email me....I'd love to hear from you! :0)

antique style Carnival Bear on ebay

If you have the time, please stop by ebay and see my Carnival bear, "Pinkie". She is just the sweetest. Pinkie looks like a toy, a boy or girl might have won, at a Boardwalk Carnival at the turn of the century. I can just see a little kid dragging her around by the arm, stopping to watch the Ferris Wheel and eating Cotton Candy.

Her auction only has 3 days left...it will end on Sunday evening. :)

2 New Fun Cupboard Hangers on ebay...

and a Roly Poly bear without a home.

I have 2 new whimsical Cupboard hangers on ebay. They are perfect for summertime decorating. They are both Ellies, and I haven't made any type of Ellie in a REALLY long time. I love the way they turned out, very fun.

I also have a little Roly Poly Americana bear that hasn't found a home yet...I have him listed with a low starting price.....Please stop by to take a peek :)
