New Patriotic bear on Ebay

I just finished this sweet little patriotic girl bear. I love making Americana pieces! Since the 4th of July is right around the corner, I thought this sweet girl was perfect. I custom dyed the mohair a nice old red color, and made her outfit from vintage style fabric with antique trims. I've named her "Lucy" and she is listed in a 3 day auction.

Thanks for looking! :0)

Americana bear on ebay

New tonight on ebay is a darling Americana bear named "U.S.A." He's was pictured in the premier issue of PRIMS magazine and he was also pictured in Teddy Bear Review. I've had him put away to give my girls when they get older, but I realized that I have quite a few bear set aside for them. LOL! I decided this guy might like to have a new home. He's listed in a 5 day auction that will end on Saturday evening.

I have 2 new whimsical Cupboard hangers on ebay. They are perfect for summertime decorating. They are both Ellies, and I haven't made any type of Ellie in a REALLY long time. I love the way they turned out, very fun.

I also have a little Roly Poly Americana bear that hasn't found a home yet...I have him listed with a low starting price.....Please stop by to take a peek :)

We’re havin’ a group launch! The members of the ebay group To Dwell in Primitive Thymes (TDIPT) have gotten together for a “Best in Show” group launch. All during this week, each artist will be selling on ebay some fabulous pieces of art that show off their “Best” talent. Be sure to sure to search “TDIPT” to find some fabulous work.
In honor of Flag Day(yesterday) and for our “Best in Show” TDIPT group launch, I’m happy to introduce a WWI Red Cross Nurse bear. I've named her "Nurse Cora"

She was also one the bears I submitted and was accepted by Early American Life magazine for their 2010 Directory of Traditional American Crafts.

It's a 5 day auction that will end Sunday evening.

Thanks for looking! :)

Back from Vacation.....

Oh my...I got back last weekend from a fabulous beach vacation. We went someplace new this year, an island is all I can tell you ;), and it was so wonderful. The beach was gorgeous and there were maybe 10-15 other people on the beach during the day!!! It was great! We rode bikes everywhere, went snorkeling and found tons and tons of sea shells. We saw 2 manatees, a sting ray and a huge angel fish. I hope this horrible oil spill does not ruin this beach...it would be a huge loss! I haven't had time to download my pics yet, I've been busy this week trying to get ready for a yard sale. Oh my, I have so much junk it is crazy. Mostly antique stuff that I collected when I used to buy and sell on ebay. Now it's all going. I also had a fun idea while going through all of my stuff, so I set a bunch of stuff aside for some blog give aways coming up soon. I found lots of great fabrics, vintage reader that are perfect for graphics and some other antique type items. So be on the look out the next couple of weeks for that. I'm also trying to get some new bears made and finish some things for magazines.

Since I don't have my vacations photos ready yet, I took some pics of shells that I have collected over the years. I have them in jars and love to decorate with them in the summer. I also took pics of my Americana display. I have it in a corner of my dinning room on a chip n dale desk that my grandmother gave me. I have one of my favorite bears by Sheryl Wells proudly displayed, along with some other favorite items.

Thanks for dropping by.... :)
