♥♥♥ Check out these cool artists ♥♥♥

I received an email the other day from fellow artist, Kathie Ruffner congratulating me on the PRIMS cover. She said she felt like she need to make more of an effort to reach out to other artists. It got me to thinking, I need to do the exact same thing! So thanks to, Kathie for giving this much needed push and for the sweet email. I would also like to thank Carol Roll for always mentioning me on her blog, and for her encouraging emails as well. :))))
Here are just few of the artists from the Spring/Summer issue of PRIMS magazine that I think are super cool, talented ladies, even though there are LOTS more in the magazine that I want to share later on.

♥ Carol Roll, Nostalgic Folk Art.

Carol's fantastic Bedtime Imp is featured on the last look page of the current issue of PRIMS. Carol creates these wonderfully detailed, paper mache darlings. They have the sweetest faces and have such a fabulous old-world look.

♥ Coney Island Carnival Girls by Julie Ippoliti

I love mixed media pieces. Julies dolls featured in this issue of PRIMS are just amazing! They remind me of the Santos dolls with a fun, whimsical twist. The detail in the faces is fabulous and I love the mix of found objects she has used.

If you would like to see more of Julie's art,
stop by her shop on Etsy.

♥ Loves Peanuts & Loves to Dance by Kathie Ruffner

Kathie's paper clay ellies can be found in the current issue of PRIMS. They are incredibly charming with lots of wonderful detail. I love how she made them into little pull-toys, which gives them that nostalgic feel I just love. Kathie has also been honored to have one of her Halloween dolls featured on the cover of Art Doll Quarterly in 2012.

♥ Growing Your Art by Susan Pilotto

Susan is well known for her darling, little, woodland creatures, especially her mice.
They look so real and have such sweet innocent little faces. Her pieces are incredible works of art. Maybe someday I will own one. :)

~*~ Buttons the Boxer on eBay ~*~

I have a new Patriotic Boxer dog listed on eBay today.
His name is Buttons. Buttons measures 10" tall, not including his ears. He wears vintage ribbons, a vintage Red Cross pin and a hand stamped tag. He is 5 way jointed, made from mohair with German glass eyes. I have hand tinted all of his markings. Buttons also comes with his tattered American flag and metal pail.

Buttons is listed in a 3 day auction with a Buy it Now option.

I have a new Halloween Basset Hound listed on eBay right now. Stop by and meet Count Franco.
Count Franco loves Halloween,
and is all dressed up for Tricks or Treats.
He has less than 2 days left in his auction,
so hurry over and check him out. :)

~*~ Party Panda is available for adoption ~*~

I have a new Very Prim Panda for sale and you can now find him for sale on eBay....
Please come meet "Party Panda"....

Party Panda measures 20" tall. He is made from an antique wool blanket, probably dates from around 1910, that I custom dyed an old faded black color. He has vintage shoe buttons for eyes. I have heavily stained the wool for an very worn antique look, and added mending stitches. Party Panda's little worn nose is made from Perle cotton, that I sanded and waxed. He is stuffed with excelsior for a lovable feel, and gravel for really nice weight. He is very slouchy, just the way an old bear should be. Party Panda has a fun polka dot cotton collar with vintage pink ribbon around his neck. He has a cute painted hat that I hand stamped "Panda" onto. Party Panda also holds some fun, flower "balloons" in his paw.

Party Panda is a really sweet, antique looking bear.
He would be perfect on a shabby shelf or displayed with your prim collectibles.. :)

Each piece is my own personal design. I give each one my touch of unique whimsy & character.
Party Panda will come with my personal tags, signed by me,
Karen Brady of Brady Bears Studio.

Anything else pictured is not included.

Party Panda is now for sale on eBay....

Thank you for stopping by.....:))))

~*~New on the Mercantile for February~*~

It's been super busy here in the studio lately...lots of new things going on. :))) I've got several new pieces available for this months update.

First up are 2 new paper clay pieces, Patriotic Panda and Americana Kitty. They are made from a combination of old and new wooden blocks. I've made the heads entirely from paper clay. They are hand sculpted, no molds were used. They were then painted and distressed. I love the way they turned out.

If you would like to purchase any of the items listed here, just pop over to the To Dwell in Primitive Thymes website....

Shabby Chic and very Romantic cottage cupboard hanger. Made from custom dyed mohair with old shoe buttons for eyes. This piece will fit any where and will always brighten your day.

Mr. Winter...a darling mohair snowman. He measures 15" tall and will melt your heart. You can find Mr. Winter and all of the other lovelys picture above for sale now on the TDIPT Mercantile...
